Abstract

The current regional safety increasingly affects the health of people in Southeast Asia. Global warming leads to more frequent flooding in South, Southeast, and East Asia where internally displaced people from flooding represent a significant portion of all global displacement. Scammer compounds along the western and eastern borders of Thailand have caused large-scale human trafficking from various countries around the world for forced labor.  International community – particularly states in South, Southeast and East Asia – is called upon to take urgent and coordinated action.
